Our Class Pets
Caring for animals is an essential part of the Montessori experience, teaching children empathy, responsibility, and respect for living beings. At Blooming Minds Montessori Home, our students enjoy bonding with Brando, our gentle golden retriever, and Piglet, our playful guinea pig, as they help care for their needs and create meaningful connections.
Brando
Brando is our 2-year-old golden retriever, known for his kind and gentle nature. He loves to play and is wonderful with children, making him a perfect companion in our Montessori environment. Students help care for Brando by feeding him, giving him water, petting him, and playing fetch, building responsibility and strengthening their bond with him.
Piglet
Piglet is our friendly guinea pig, loved for her curious and sweet temperament. She enjoys the attention of our students, and caring for her teaches responsibility and compassion. Students assist with feeding her fresh vegetables daily, refilling her food and water, and helping clean her cage. They also have the special opportunity to take Piglet home for holidays, further deepening their connection with her.
